Shared a boat with Don Baldridge again today. For those who watch, I guess I was his surrogate Barry this week.

As Bill has said, simply put we caught a crazy lot of bass. Something like four limits of mixed keepers with a couple of 3# ish blacks, a 17" spot, and lots of brownies. The solid linebacker smallmouth are coming in hard on gravel. at one point we had to dip 17" keepers at the same time, one oneach side of the boat.

Color was variable. Some places are clear, others brown. Temp aside, only difference I can see is that if a creek is mostly clear the clear water is better. If mostly brown, it does not matter. Temps were down a little this am, high 50's warming to 62 or so.

Caught one on a blade in wind, couple on a jig (must be an upper end thing Quill), a handful on a big shakey head. 3/8oz with a full size zero/zinkerz in green pumpkin. Several of those were solid keepers.

You can guess what caught the rest, and only one guess counts. We did use a couple of colors other than PBJ.

Sadly, no 15" crappie today...

Don is a fine gentleman and a good fisherman. Also happens to be lot of fun to fish with.

Excellent - glad to see you guys are whacking them! Beautiful day to be on the water, wish I was out there today.

I have even left the friendly confines three days in a row. Maybe not tomorrow with the storms.

And please...would someone hook a 4x4 to those railroad ties in Ma's lot so we can whip a flipping trailer around?

Incredible fish catching action. Almost hurts to read the reports coming in everyday. Congrats on another great day.
