Flysmallie Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Yeah it doesn't look like anyone else wants him either so he is probably stuck with the Rams as part of their practice squad.
Ham Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 He actually played better in preseason than I expected. He may get another shot when a team loses some d ends to injury. He might not even be on the Rams practice squad. Depends on their needs. Look the Rams took him in the 7 th round with their second 7 th round pick. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. ozark trout fisher Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Sam was at the game yesterday and got a standing ovation from the crowd. Just a few minutes after that, reports came out that he got cut. The timing was......not ideal. Nonetheless, the Rams were the one who gave him the chance to show how good he can be during the preseason so I applaud them for that. Hope he gets signed to the practice squad, at least.

Quillback Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I look at him as a 7th round pick that did not make the cut. Good luck to him, but I'm kind of glad to see him gone just because of the circus that follows him around.
Ham Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 The young man was an outstanding defensive player at the college level. He doesn't have the numbers the pro scouts are looking for, but IF he had gotten a chance in the right spot, he might have been able to stick around and improve. Tebow was outstanding in college and has been a winner at every level, but needed to be more accurate and less dependent on running. He could still be playing if he had changed to a TE. KCRIVERRAT Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Yep. He didn't play well enough to make the cut but from what I understand they were already plenty deep at that position. I bet somebody else picks him up. Ronnie, I detect toungue in cheek messages in your post. Seriously... from what I've seen from the Chiefs they could use him. We need defense and more... Flysmallie Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Ronnie, I detect toungue in cheek messages in your post. It wasn't intended. From what I heard last week he was 8th or 9th at his position. That's a lot of depth at one spot. They also claimed that while he was a good player he didn't bring anything extra to the team, wasn't outstanding, so he didn't make it.

Flysmallie Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Selling jerseys doesn't win games. Not that they will win much anyway. They are the Rams.
