Fisher; I wish you would have come over, Also wish I could have been more helpful on where to get a battery but that was the only place I knew of close by. The reason I was circling that one area you saw me on with the spider-rig and spooning was there is a few small rocks there walleye like to hang out on but they can be real pains to get to bite sometimes try it next time you are there, they are small only coming up a few feet but you can see them on the graph.

The last couple weeks I've been mostly crappie fishing from Friendship creek (Kelly creek) south and have been doing alright no boat load by no means but enough mess each time for supper. Fishing lay downs in 20 fow and spider rigging in 15 fow has produce the best numbers. Still with all the fish I've caught down that way they still have eggs in them. However Saturday since everything I've caught has had eggs in them I wanted to try fishing shallow in Roberts creek and caught a few in there but slow to come by. I've been using bobby garland baby shad pearl white mostly. Going to go back to spider rigging this week since that produces more fish for me. Still think the weekend of the FLW was my best weekend ever fishing this lake since I started fishing it a year ago. The water was deep enough in the buck brush around Mill hollow and I limited out in hour. Man that was a fun day.

Being relatively new to NW Arkansas, I really appreciate this forum and the information folks are willing to share. It's helped me a lot--especially in regards to whites and stripers, fish I'm not that familiar with.

The information I've gleaned about walleyes is also very useful. These Arkansas walleyes don't act at all like the walleyes in Washington and Minnesota, so any and every bit of info is useful.

Next time I will stop and say hello. No problem on the battery. I got one close by at Arrowhead boat sales. And for sure I will hit that spot up for some Walleye. :)

Good size? What's the best time of year? I would love to venture that way for a camping trip or a weekend getaway with the family.

Now thru June will be the best but its good all summer.....Its a very good walleye fishery.......The camp ground at Hwy 125 is nice or Wagon Wheel resort which is located at the same spot if u want AC(I do)......There is HWY 125 Marina located there also for all the stuff u will need for a stay bait, gas, drinks etc.....That puts u in the middle of the lake.....Whats so nice about that lake is there is no "the lake just got to crowded about 2pm so we went home"......Its a great lake all around.

If I was going to fish BSL, I'd bring the bass stuff also. Catch your limit of walleye, then spank some bass.
