Just like quillback I'm RUINED!!!!! 17 about the same size as the one in the pic (14'' to 16'')on the ned rig up on Stockton at the CC road bed. I posted a complete report on the Stockton forum this evening. I want to thank you guys for teaching this old dog a new trick!!!!!! I had a blast today!!!!!! I did like you guys told me to. First I found the fish. then I established a pattern. then i tied the ned rig on and went to work hooking most in the side of the mouth and i wasnt even in the boat we had gone up there with intentions to do a little catfishing lmbo!!!!!! 10410625_568504829934951_7863681132968434343_n.jpg Cool deal. Sac River Jim Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 yep i was using a custom 6'10'' ml rod thats real sensitive but has alot of backbone with 6lb seagar floro and had a blast. i think it makes a very good bait that can be fished from the bank. someone who fishes mostly from the bank can learn the basics on how to rig and fish it and catch more fish. i was fishing it very very slow targeting brush stumps and rocks from different angles and alot of times it would take several casts at one log but id eventually get him if he was there.
