Flysmallie
you don't know! thats why when you catch one, you take a picture and watch it swim away Or you put it in the livewell and make it ride around in there all day so you can put it in a bag and bang it around on your way to the scales. Then after weighing it you hoist it up to show everyone your dominance over that species. And then you release it back into the lake. And if it doesn't live then that's okay because you know you did everything you could to protect it.

Feathers and Fins
I don't keep any bass, and there are alot more 15in bass than there are 8lb bass If you don’t keep any bass that is your choice and I am sure if you posted some nice pictures people would appreciate them and congratulate you. Those same Congratulations should be equally afforded a person who keeps a Bass. Except for one being released one being kept there is no difference. Both anglers accomplished fooling a fish in to biting and then successfully fighting it and landing it. I am sure there are more 15'' bass in a lake than 8lb bass simple predation would suggest that along with other natural and unnatural causes of death but it still doesn’t matter if a person catches a bass and releases it or keeps it. They are doing so within the law and a persons opinion on C&R really should not be placed on others or mire up a post on a very good day that made the angler proud. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
REDSOXWSCHAMP
I just asked you. You said there were more 15" bass than 8lb bass... Nobody knows how many of what size bass are in any lake. Nobody. Electro shocking only covers the first 5-10' of the water column. What about the other 60-80'? Stockton is full bass regardless. Big and small. And of all 3 species. There should be ZERO complaining about me or anybody else keeping a fish. Of any species. I don't go fishing and wonder. What will you say about me keeping this. I honestly don't care. But for you to sit here and act like a saint, know-it-all, and a biologist is ridiculous. whoa.. whoa.. whoa.. don't get your panties in a twist. I would say its common sense that there are more 15" bass in stockton than there 8lbs. I'm not getting any info anywhere else other than MY opinion. YOU need to just get over it, there is always gonna be someone who you think is complaining, but in reality they are just putting their 2 cents in, kinda the point of having a public forum. NO i'm not acting like a saint(but thanks for the compliment), I don't claim to know it all, and i would say if i was a biologist, I would be putting some facts on here instead of MY opinion. Dirtracer35
I don't wear panties guy. I am a man. Thank you. Common sense? I'm just a kid remember. I don't know any of that. I just know I've probably caught more big fish off this lake than most people. They are extremely abundant. But I guess MY opinion comes from actually being able to catch them. And you've been at this for 2 days now. You don't have any facts but you can sit here and say that there aren't enough big fish in the lake. My "Opinions" are backed up by consistently catching big fish. Not having to read a public forum and follow boats around to catch fish. I don't fish for 15" bass. I fish for big fish. Anybody can catch shorts and swimmers...
Walcrabass
O.K. Now that we have 123 replies to this wonderful post. ( I guess 124 now huh??) And now that we know we have the attention of the Fish Biologists. Why don't we have a slot length for Largemouth Bass, a different one for Smallmouth Bass, and no length limit for those stinking Kentuckies on Stockton Lake????? Just thought I would get that in there while we have such a hot topic, everybody riled up, and a bunch of readers looking at all of it. Thanks for the opportunity. You know who....... Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 15, 2014 Root Admin Share Posted May 15, 2014 I think you guys are arguing over semantics. Everybody has an opinion and has the right to express it. And we have the right to disagree. So I think you guys need to agree to disagree and get on with fishing...

Dirtracer35
Lol. Seems I struck a nerve with something. Was it the fact that I can catch big fish. Or the fact that you don't have any facts. I catch plenty of 15" fish. And I catch plenty of big fish. Keeping one or the other(size or species) doesn't not affect the lake which we all agree is full of fish. And in a week the lake will have millions more(fry) to make up for the 6 in the grease. I abide by the laws. Which are in place for a reason. Just because one angler does not follow your strict guidelines. The lake will not go dry. Hope to see you on the water.
dprice
What's the life expectancy of a 6/7/8 lb bass? If you get the info. Share it ! Lots of variables for sure. Water quality lots fresh water easy prey. And a short travel corridor I know of a person who has a ton of info seen his truck around stockton kinda recent at state park If you don't want it caught keep him away ! I wonder if he reads the threads ? If he does he should comment last name of Starks Dprice priceheatingair.com
