REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 So how much does johnny world pay the city to use the lake? Can anyone pay and have the same access? When the city of springfield has their annual outdoor fesitval located at springfield lake park, BPS brings a couple small hp pontoons, and gives people a ride. IT IS THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD that allows it, and since they operate and maintain the lake, they can pretty much do what they want.
Champ188 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 SOX, I gotta hand it to you. You are one loyal BPS employee.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 i'm just handing out facts about what i know. If i didn't work for BPS and wasn't involved with the BPS boats being run on spfld lake, i wouldn't have said anything.
Justin Spencer Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 How can this even be an arguement? They are trying to have a lake small boat people can enjoy without a LOZ wake problem, if you have a boat with a 7 or bigger go elsewhere, pretty cut and dried, unless you are somebody who has to question everything. It doesn't matter why it is the law. Chief Grey Bear Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Or you could make a no wake rule. It works real well on a lake or two I know of. Goggle-Eyed Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I think they have sucked him off long enough. I wonder how much tax revenue he has pumped into the city, let alone jobs created and tourist dollars.... Yep, he's gotten rich, but dang he has provided a lot of jobs and revenue while doing it! I can promise you Lebanon is very happy to have Tracker located there. It is one of the higher paying factory jobs in the area, much better than average for semi skilled labor.
Flysmallie Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Oh don't get me wrong he has done great things for this city but he has received PLENTY in return.
Goggle-Eyed Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Agree, just hope they never tick him off like Colorado did to Magpul. I would hate to see Corporate offices or DC moved out of City or State.... Way too many people dependent on that income. hourly employees, managers, local hotels restaurants, etc... Many of the hotels in the area of Glenstone and Kearney have at least a few guests staying there for meetings at BPS most every week night. Kinda like when the owner of our company bought another "vacation" home and I heard someone grumble... I explained, I hope he never "HAS" to sell one cuz that means we are losing money and someone is looking for a job!!! LOL.
fishinwrench Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Let's not undersell the folks that buy the stuff. I mean that's where the money comes from, right? And most of those folks work harder for every dollar of it than JM does I bet.
Flysmallie Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Yeah hopefully it stays right here. Having him and the Irish auto parts mafia is good for this town.
