I know the virtues of the ned on the rock, but I'm going to an outpost camp in canada for walleye next week. ( sorry , no bass there). How do you all think the ned would work in that situation. I' ve got a mess of them in my tackle box......Thanks.

It will definitely work. Drew Reese designed the Hula Stickz largely for Lake of the Woods smallmouth. Ned takes it to MN every summer, and Terry Claudell, a frequent FNN contributor, takes it to Canada yearly.

I got a > 20 inch walleye on BSL on the Ned yesterday, but it wouldn't be my bait of choice in Canada for walleye fishing.

Thanks, I have all my usual walleye weapons, but I'm gonna try the regular rig with half a zinker and see how those rascally devils like it. I will report back on my results. Will be down to the rock for two weeks in august.

The Canada types tell me the pearl white is the deal on eyes up there. You just never know who is lurking around ;) .

I didn't know there were lakes in Canada that didn't have Smallmouth...especially in bodys of water that carried Walleye. I will laugh if you go fishing for walleyes with the ned rig and boat a dozen Smallies before you get your first walleye
