Lots of my clients just sling them onto the boat seat back to stabilize the fish. From there they are easier to unhook with pliers by first pulling the hooks from the fish and then from the boat seat.

Good Luck

Good lord, that is classic. :XD::donwan:

I fish with a guy who will slap you in the head with them and I am talking about 5 and 6 pounders. I have found if you will kind of wrap them on the side and top of the gunnel it more or less tranquilizes them and they will just kind of freeze while wrapped across the top and side of the gunnel's, until you can get hold of them and remove the hook or hooks.

HAHA, funny stuff - If I can't get them unhooked using the Boga or the net, I'll try the seat snagging method, or the "slap your buddy in the head" method.

I am not going to mention the guy who will slap you up-to-side of the head, I'll let you use own imagination!!

Actually I did slap my kid with a smallmouth today. Buy it was unhooked. Warned him I was going to bass slap him, and he thought I was joking.

Gotta love the father-son hazing while fishing.

I just swing my treble hook fish back to Donna and let her take them off. I can handle the single-hook ones by myself. :XD:

One of the funniest I've read in some time...tnx Champ!
