lonkm Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 What happened to the walleye fishing this year? This time last year the fishing was really hot. This year I don't see any good reports. Has the weather had that much effect on them?
Ron Burgundy Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Good question, it's been tough for me also......thot maybe it was just me but I know some other very good walleye fisherman and they have struggled also... Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Moswimb8slinger Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Here's a 5.25lbs one i caught today about noon, on the BBZ1 8" at the pothole. I do have to agree that it has been tough getting a walleye this year. That's my first one this year
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 The higher water has eliminated most of the good bank space and some of the current at the Pothole and I'm sure this has had an effect. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Fish24/7 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 good fish richy! Talked to Walleye Bob today and he's been catching some 25"+ eyes on crankbaits that I painted for him. He did mention it's been a "here today, gone tomorrow" kind of bite though.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I caught 4 the other day two keeps one was 24". Trolling a blue tiger 7cm flicker shad. I was in the diamond city area
Moswimb8slinger Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Caught a short 17ish today at the end of the wall on a black/orange rapala. But that was the only walleye. Caught a 6.5 lbs largemouth up there today too
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 richey, what kind of line are you throwing that bbz1
