bfishn Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Bfishn, Thanks for the web sites to have questions answered by an authority. As usual you are much more computer literate than myself and I needed a little help. I ask all the pertinent questions that we were discussing and I am hoping to get some clear replies. I hope it will be enlightening for all of us. Thanks again, Walcrabass ( or maybe Mr. W. ..........??) You're very welcome Walcrabass. Please do let us know what you learn. If you're interested in digging information in the future, try using the Google toolbar to be more effective in your searches. It's been an awesome resource for me. And no need to change your avatar to W..., at least not unless you're trying to be one. :-) Good sport! I can't dance like I used to.
Sac River Jim Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 here awhile back there was a thread with a similar discussion concerning campers only ramp at cedar ridge and also at hawker i called kansas city and the secretary referred me to the stockton project mgr. i thought i had that number saved in my phone but i cant find it. If I can dig it up i'll post it again. Your probly right bfishin the general fund is probly the Corp general fund
Old plug Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 First find out where the general fund is if it is it the corp of engineer general fund within the Corp of engineers, or is it some fund of the DOA or DOD. What I suspect is that the fund is right there in your COE district and that is where it will be used for the shortfall that they been having. To think they would try to use it for some other thing unrelated to them is far fetched.

Walcrabass Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 Bfishn and others, I have received a reply to my questions concerning the Boat Ramps/ Campgrounds at Stockton Lake. I believe they answer the ones that I had for Table Rock too. It is pretty much as I thought. I am trying to find a way to send the answers without showing my personal email or name which was attached. When I get this figured out I will send to this site. Walcrabass
Members lollygagger1 Posted June 28, 2014 Members Posted June 28, 2014 Put in at the end of a dirt road.....keep doing if for a couple of months......when you "waller out" the road....call a tow truck......happened on Lake Fork ....never again
dblades Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 U. S. Congress initiated a similar test project on some southern Calif lakes about 10 years ago for evaluation. There was very little response from the public. They included $20 to $30 fees on each campground. That test project also included $10-15 launch fees EACH time you launch a boat. All the marinas were privatized on those lakes with a jump in their fees as well. It makes me think it was a 'success' as far as they were concerned and it is spreading east. Just a guess. Somebody tell me how Johnie Morris PURCHASED Gages Marina? I understand your yearly pass isn't any good there anymore, and they charge a launch fee.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 not sure how the marina was purchased but the COE was going to shut the campground down, and johnny leased it from the COE
straw hat Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Well if you look at my original post it says..... "U. Just a guess." Now I am sure RSWSC just clicked on the quote button. But how did that last sentence get in there? "Somebody tell me how Johnie Morris PURCHASED Gages Marina? I understand your yearly pass isn't any good there anymore, and they charge a launch fee." I sure didn't enter it. I don't like someone else being able to change my post. (And I don't mean RSWSC) That could lead to a lot of misunderstandings and ruffled feathers. Something I don't ever want to do.
