Still a decent Ned bite around 13. Not fantastic, but definitely in play. Fished 7-230 yesterday with my daughter, waited for the radar to clear before going out. Ended with 5 keepers, with one more preferring to stay in his tree. Around 30-35 total. Little slower, but still caught fish all day. More on the ends of points, still smaller fish out in the lake. They are still filling themselves full of craws anywhere there is pea gravel, or mixed gravel.

While we fished, the wife and boy went craw catching. They were all over in the cloudy weather.

After burnt ends at the Fillin Station, we had a minor medical mishap when Emily went running and decided to pummel the mountain with her arm and knee. Score = Mountain one, Cross Country For zero, stitches yes (well one anyway).

So today was a bit scrambled. In between shuffling kids (she fished until urgent care opened in Branson West- this is my girl who would play corner or safety if it did not conflict with cross country), we scratched out 3 keepers, maybe 25 total by 1230. Fair amount of traffic with the Crown line deal going.

Not a lot different today, except for some little K's beginning to chase bait. Caught a few of those swimming the little rig.

Dave what is up with the 7 rods on the deck? You know you are now a one trick pony these days with the Ned.

I see three or four Ned rods. I also see a couple of top water rods (just in cases) and maybe a spoon rod? Inquiring minds want to know.

Five of those rods are decoys. He has two Neds tied on. And Dave, they're breaking in front of your boat in the top picture. You have Red Fins for times like that. I KNOW you do. :XD:

Caught a couple of those chasers on the little rig...13" spots. Maybe that will improve.

The other rods were: fb jig, big shakey head, chugger, and a tiny tube. Others were all variations on the finesse theme.

Just spent some time with Bill Richey. He had about the same deal yesterday, including the K's chasing. Little K's. Guess it is a good sign to have some working bait, maybe the size will improve.

Good report Dave!! Glad you got into some active fish. I was gone to WI. for a week, but my brother-in-law and his grandson fished and house sat for us. His results were similar with a few fish on the rig and other small finesse baits. Top water non existent and nothing over 18 inches. Have you tried the Magic Worm yet???
