Hog Wally Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I actually walked a branch of that crik Sunday and couldn't find a bass of any species. Weird. Creeks are changing I guess. Used to be everyone dug a little gravel here and there. Now only permitted sights are digging large amounts and it seems to be changing the dynamics of the holes. It's the only thing I see different? On the meramec it's same way. Every mile or so was a gravel operation now there's one or two giants doing dredge operations.

It is crazy to see the differences between then and now......you and I have seen the creek in both eras.......kina crazy isn't it??? I'm ready to nail some fish with teeth
ness Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 This forum is very unusual place as it never ceases to amaze me. For anyone considering going to the RiverSmallie/MSA round up, do yourself a favor and go.....getting out of your comfort zone and meeting some of these people you don't know can be very rewarding. I have met two fellas on this forum and normally I really wouldn't seek out new people to hang with or fish with.....but these two guys ..MitchF and HogWally are some of the most quality individuals a man could ever meet. Not only have they both become some of what I consider close friends, the type of friends you would leave your four year old daughter with no questions asked.....They are both quality guys is all I can say and the big bonus is they are both some of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to river fishing and fishing in general that I have ever met. Nothing like meeting face-to-face to really get to know what somebody's like and where they're coming from. John
