Feathers and Fins Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 You guys don't know what your missing. I just came back from Florida and I ate some of the freshest seafood around. I still prefer walleye or crappie for blackened fish, fried fish, gumbo, etc. I used to get mad catching walleye when bass fishing. Then I tasted one. Now I target them. Leave them for me and I'll clean em out for ya. :-) Not if your behind me lol https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
dtrs5kprs Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Closest I get to eating fish is an occasional crab Rangoon. Fish eat bait. Prefer my food feed on corn.
J-Doc Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Closest I get to eating fish is an occasional crab Rangoon. Fish eat bait. Prefer my food feed on corn. I used to be the same way. Once you've had it cooked correctly, it's better than corn fed I promise. Keep an open mind. Its opened my mind to an entire new world and I'm better off because of it. I promise you would like it if it's cooked correctly. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. J-Doc Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Oh and walleye are not the biggest competitor of forage with bass. It's spotted bass. There is easy more spotted bass than walleye in both Table Rock and Beaver. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! powerdive Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Walleye always look better when stabbed in the side, and thrown on the bank. Like carp. Although carp are prettier in most cases. Sounds like someone got surprised by a set of teeth somewhere along the line.
powerdive Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 That's just your inner bass angler trying to emerge, PD. Listen to him. Come out of the darkness into the light. Champ, I bumped off my inner bass angler long ago. Don't miss him one bit, and the world's a better place for it.
J-Doc Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Champ, I bumped off my inner bass angler long ago. Don't miss him one bit, and the world's a better place for it. Funny I did the same thing andnfeelbthe same way. I've learned so much more about bass fishing by not bass fishing for a year. I know now that whenbi do go bass fishing, I'll have much better luck just because I learned about the other fish in the lake. It opened my eyes widely. And if I don't catch any bass, I know I can catch dinner. :-). No more skunk days for me. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! bfishn Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Sounds like someone got surprised by a set of teeth somewhere along the line. More like a bad case of pinnace envy. :-) I can't dance like I used to.
bfishn Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 For the Google-impaired; Pinnace; a light sailing ship, especially one formerly used in attendance on a larger ship. I can't dance like I used to.
