Champ188 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I've had a container of the Gulp Alive minnows for several years and you can use them over and over. I use them for winter drop-shotting and they've kept their color and original odor all of this time.
powerdive Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Meh. Just "beef" up your hook size and put a hot dog on there. It's been known to work, both for walleyes and bass.

kjackson Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 FWIW--not that my experience says a lot, but-- I've been cutting the Gulp crawlers in two and using the tail 60% on a two-hook harness set-up. The front chunk goes on a slow-death rig, whether it's RPS's Owner hook, Mustad Slow Death hook or a Tru-Turn hook.
powerdive Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 While you are not as bad as Fishing Cricket, bless his heart, you do love to stir the pot, don't you. Once in awhile. But it's true about the hot dog. I have some Gulp and Powerbait worms. They haven't worked for me yet, but in all fairness they only get a few minutes' trial before I get restless. I draw the line on Gulp Alive. Glad someone's making it work.
bfishn Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I read this thread to my worms just now. They were all for it. All except the bathing part. The Vienna Snausages look bummed. I can't dance like I used to.

Feathers and Fins Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 24 night crawlers tonight caught 15 walleye, 2 whites, 1 bass and a perch we had ( 5 ) defective night crawlers that must have been suicide bombers because when they came up they were blown in half. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Feathers and Fins Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 15 eyes to 1 bass??? I gotta try Beaver. So far ( knock on wood, rub rabbits foot, find four leaf clover ) the green things haven't been an issue this year. Even better is the seeing the many different size walleye from 8'' to almost 30'' bodes well for a continuing and improving fishery for them. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
