Jet Ski Crash Ruark West Boat Ramp

Bill's wife at son sac marina was telling me there was a pretty bad jet ski accident yesterday at ruark. All I've found on it is a very sketchy Highway Patrol Report. Two jet skis were involved and I heard the 22 yr old from Pittsburg, Ks. turned into and broad-sided the 52 yr old from Pittsburg. they had to life flight the guy to a Springfield hospital with extensive injuries. Don't think it made the news on either KY3 or KOLR10 the best I can tell. Did Anyone else hear about it. I sat on the fishing barge at Ruark today for over 7 hrs and i'm surprised someone else didn't get hurt. I saw one boat patrol cruise over by the swimming area for a few minutes then he headed back towards the dam. A couple times the wakes hit the barge so hard it knocked us of balance even seen a guy w/o a life vest on paddling his young son around in a kayak way out in the main lake. maybe i'm getting too old but theres no way in the world i would have had my boat on the water today.

I really wanted to come down and join some friends at Stockton this weekend but knew it would be crazy. I would assume we won't see any more marinas or docks built to make it any worse? That's what makes Stockton appealing to me is it has way fewer docks than the other lakes.

Stockton lake fisherman,dont think for a second that your lake is not next in line for the major traffic and giant wake boats!!!!! These marinas are adding on for a reason. One of them is their own personal gain. They are not concerned if the lake turns into a s#$t hole full of drunk boaters. Hell, they sell booze right next to the gas pump. Enjoy yor lake while you can. Mark my words!!!!!!
