Buzz Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 The way I see it, the first year he didn't pay his lease fees the feds had every right to evict and remove him. He lost all legal standing in a court at that point. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
jdmidwest Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Here is something I have thought about for a while. I believe this country to be one spark from a civil war with how fed up people are with government intrusion in to their lives. Though I don't think this is the spark anymore what would have happened had the Fed taken this to a shooting conflict? My gut tells me it could have been that spark early on and would have escalated beyond that small area. I don't think our government really understands how fed up the people are and just what could happen if a little gas is thrown on a spark. It is not a civil war, but a Revolutionary War that we are about a spark away from. We have entered a time much like we were in at the start of this great country. High taxes without representation, Government oppression, Popular vote/Majority vote being over ruled to suit the views of others minor views, Invasion of Privacy, etc has been running rampant lately. The Civil War was about the Slaves, nothing to do with what is going on now that threatens the Constitution. I assume this is tongue in cheek, given that taxes are lower by far than just a few decades back AND our material standard of living is the highest in recorded human history; govt. oppression is dramatically lower than anytime in U.S. history (think no slavery, women/minorities can vote and own property and the list goes on and on and on), and the principal check on the popular vote is the Electoral College, placed in the Constitution by the Framers, for good or bad. The popular vote issue is brought up by those who think it is OK for the majority to tell the minority what they can and can't do; the antithesis of freedom for all. The morons clamoring for a revolution and militias and guns, guns, and more guns are the biggest bunch of spoiled brat whiners ever, period. Buck up fellas, get back to work, get a little bit informed and really look at how good we've got it. Oppression my arse.... Please. Back to Cliven Bundy, flat out wingnut thief. Its not even close.
Gavin Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Who is Clive Bundy? Is he related to that guy on TV? You know...that Ted fellow...married to the lazy red-head with BF hair, and a couple of obnoxious kids? Thinking he sold ladies shoes? This guy is good for info-tainment...but he is just another renter that did not pay. Kick him to the curb.
ScottK Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 You're thinking of that Al fellow. Ted wasn't a very nice guy at all, Florida put him out of our misery many years ago.
