I got home just in time to find a neighbors cat in the trap.

Game camera batteries were dead, no photos.

I reset the trap & baited it with fresh egg shells.

I think my dog licked up the possum blood. Dammit!

I wouldn't worry about that. they don't seem to be all that susceptible to diseases. I would however be very cautious about the skunk if you ever catch the rascal. I'm somewhat amazed that he hasn't fallen for the trap. Maybe he's getting beat out by other critters? Maybe you should try putting the trap out at different times to intercept him when he ventures out? Just guessing.

I might put some deer corn in the trap to see if bambi pokes its head in there. :=B:

Put corn in there and you will get more squirrels. Have you tried a sardine yet?
