Members Jimmy G Posted July 23, 2014 Members Posted July 23, 2014 Son was walking his dogs around 6 am and told me days later, Oh yeah, I saw some fish coming up around the dock. So I headed down at sunrise the next week and got 6 in a couple of hours. Next day 7/19 got 4 and missed 4. The smallie was fun, just under 3 lbs on the boga. He came right out of the water smashing the super spook jr. looking like an attack on shark week. I'm pretty new to Table Rock and catching any size bass is lots of fun for me. I do much better off the dock than in the boat. So the boat sits in the garage while I fish from the dock! The dock isn't holding as many fish as last year. Same time last year I had caught over double this year's number. Yes, I'm new to the sport and keep track of every catch as few as they may be!
abkeenan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Very nice. Smallie looks very healthy and looks like he has been cruising the shallows with that sun tan he's got. Nice report on some topwater action. Good to hear.
Sac River Jim Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 shoot i'd love to catch a couple that size right now congratz!!!!
Champ188 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Pretty fish indeed. Have you dropped any brush around the dock? You might consider placing some 15-25 feet deep and giving some of those fish a reason to hang out there all the time. Plus, you'd probably have yourself a crappie hole.
