Fishrman Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Fished from 6:30-3:00 had 6 keepers 5 blacks 1 spot all caught in 3 ft or less of water on buzzers caught them all day, probably only caught 15-20 but pretty good for July and that shallow. Water temp was 82-84 I will say that I also ran way up Kings but did not matter where I stopped caught them in dirty water and clear. Hope this helps you out a little.
Pepe Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 On buzz baits ? I would not have thought of that. Thanks for the report
Alex Heitman Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 This is promising news for me. Good job and good report. I can't wait to get down this weekend and get way up in the river arms. It's been almost two months since I've been down there. I've been busy with college. I hate vertical fishing but will resort to it if I can't get them shallow. I plan on going up long creek and throwing a squarebill. I will have a report after I have fished. I will be in a maroon and white z-9 nitro. If anybody is up that way come over and say hi.
Fishrman Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 Alex Don't feel like you have to run up river to get bit, and there has been no square bill bite. Don't know why.
Bill Babler Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Thanks for the report Fish. Ran the banks some the other day looking for shallow fish and did not see any, but as I can see here I was in the wrong place. Any fish in the backs of the pockets or were you main lake and cove mouth. LOZ usually really turns on to a very shallow back in of the pocket bite this time of the year. Why those fish up there get in the shallow stuff under the flattest shallows hottest dock on the cove makes no sense to me but they do it in July and August up there more often than not. Thanks for the new tip and deal, I'm on it. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Talked to a very reliable fisherman who says he caught a 5-10 last week in 4 feet of water.

powerdive Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Talked to a very reliable fisherman who says he caught a 5-10 last week in 4 feet of water. That's a myth (the fisherman, not the bass). There is no such thing.
Quillback Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Like Tim Sainato says - "It was a 5 lber, give or take 5 pounds."
