Feathers and Fins Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 Not Long I bet https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
bfishn Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 HL&S has come a long ways from Nick's little 12x24 shack at VSnS (formerly Crenshaw's, formerly Neal's). Hope it works out for you. I can't dance like I used to.
Sore Thumbs Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Aaron is a good dude. Consider him a friend. I will come by and introduce myself. I'm in there quite a bit. Try to buy all my tackle there. Congrats on the gig.
Members ADD-Fishing Posted August 5, 2014 Members Posted August 5, 2014 My 2 cents is that it is darn hard to run a tackle shop effectively, meaning not only making the customers happy but also keeping the business profitable long-term. Hats off to Aaron for doing both at Hook, Line , & Sinker. It is the rare store where 'day in and day out' customers get to interact with real quality people who not only have massive fishing experience but are willing to truly help you catch fish if you really are interested. I don't mean that they're going to give away all of their secrets, remember I said that they are 'experienced' and they are fishermen:))), but they are much more forthcoming than any other tackle shop that I have ever dealt with. Again, I tip my hat to Aaron for again showing his customers that he is willing to put his money where his mouth is by hiring Scott, yet another top quality guy and a highly experienced fisherman, to help strengthen an already strong team at HLS. I look forward to watching these guys continue to grow and improve HL&S in the years to come and selfishly I expect to continue being a very satisfied customer.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 Guys I appreciate the kind words to me. Aaron is one of the hardest working guys I have met and don't know how he does it. If you could go to the HLS Facebook page and post the same kind words to him. Its not often you hear so much good from customers and even less as an owner of a business that they get the praise but sure is nice to hear it so go give him some thanks on the page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hook-Line-Sinker-Outdoors/337690456256149 In business its a team effort and I am lucky to be associated with good people, and in this one people that do hunt and fish and can help customers from years of experience. total sales pitch sounding but so dam true and I had said it long before I had the pleasure to be working there. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Green236 Posted August 6, 2014 Members Posted August 6, 2014 I've been buying stuff from Aaron since he bought the place. Stopped by today, bought my minnows for tomorrow and looked for you so I could meet you. Catch you next time.

J-Doc Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 image.jpg Got a few in the mail today of my order. Well throw one out about 140ft on 10lb line and let us all know if it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
YAKFM Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Nice. Who did you order your Flickers through Ron? Looking forward to reading your feedback on their performance when you have an opportunity to use them.
nathanhooper Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yea, take a video of what they look like in the water. I would sure like to see if they will produce like the shads.
