Flysmallie Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I'm so glad that I have pretty much given up on lake fishing.
Members Jan_Z Posted August 6, 2014 Members Posted August 6, 2014 On a positive side there are some folks out there that are courteous and respect others, recently I was out in the Roaring river arm and 4 jet skiers came around the bend and as usual they were flying, as soon as they saw me parked over at the edge they backed off to no wake steerage and went by. Hell I stood up and saluted them and gave a thumbs up, they did the same thing about 20 minutes later on the way out, nice folks. They're not all bad but it only takes a few dunderheads on either side of the fence to ruin for all of us... School will start soon and take off some of the pressure

Feathers and Fins Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 There is only one Jet Skier on Beaver Lake I Like..... I wont say anything to revealing but there is not much left to reveal if you get my drift... Typically seen around 12 bridge and Beaver Shores on weekdays afternoons https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members wells203 Posted August 6, 2014 Members Posted August 6, 2014 The wakeboarders, wakesurfers are mostly kids and this is their preferreded form of recreation on Table Rock. They get about 2 1/2 months of lake time each year and then they grow old and may be fishing along side you for 12 months/year. So, just relax. They go back to school, starting next week. JW
merc1997 Bo Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 does that still make it ok for the huge wakes to tear eveything up, and wash water over into other boats on the water????? just wondering where you were on that fact. bo
GNSfishing Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Well the kids are not operating those big wake boats, cigar boats and etc. So who's responsible for running close to other boats with wakes coming over the side of our 20 Ft bass boats???? I'd would not want to be in some of the smaller boats I have owned in the past on the lakes now days..... you'd better have a big bilge pump....
Members wells203 Posted August 6, 2014 Members Posted August 6, 2014 Everyone should be considerate on the water and understand alls interest. The boaters that don't get this, were brought up the wrong way, not everyone gets it all the time. Just trying to have some fun outside the routine. Maybe it is time for a walleye boat, if you can't avoid the wakes from time to time. JW
Flysmallie Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It doesn't matter what the skiers did, casting a lure at anyone is a bitch move. That guy should have been arrested for assault. There are inconsiderate people everywhere. But assaulting them for being ignorant is illegal, unfortunately.
