Yeah, i'm partial to the Etec these days Ham, really wanted that. Hope so Mitch! More importantly, would love to take both of you guys fishing with me sometime!!

Like Al mentioned on his boat, this one has the extended front deck, which I wanted, has a livewell and storage under the seats. I put it in the St. Francis here at home the other day, had two other guys, we all averaged right at 200, I'd say it's getting close to 30 mph, which is more than enough speed for me. The river is really low here now, and I cleared some shallow sand bars with no problem. Worked out, the price I got for my War EAgle, almost paid for this, so my wife is happy to.... :)

I certainly have no complaints about the Etec on mine, either. I don't put a lot of hours on mine, and it goes long periods without getting used. All I ever do is check the oil now and then and put the grease in after every use (and even then I often forget to put it in until a day or more later). And in the seven years I've had it it's never failed to start instantly and run perfectly.

One thing I noticed on my 50 etec I had on my war eagle, was when duck hunting in temps in the teens, it would start right up, and be ready to go, very little if any warm up needed. My 4 stroke on my Supreme, needs to be warmed up for a few minutes it seems, especially when cold.

Bout got it ready, just need another battery to go 24 volt! The boat is already wired with a plug on the deck.

Been on the water a few times in the Blazer, really pleased so far with how it performs! The Minn Kota 70 has been great, i'd like to have the digital someday, but the 5 speed works! Haven't clocked the Evinrude, but i'd say it's runs between 30 and 35, very impressed with the speed for a 60/40. I've heard a properly tuned jet will only cost 20 percent, I didn't know if I believed that, but now I think I do!

I was very impressed with the performance of the Blazers boats I saw on the Current spring before last. The guys running 40 HP's were doing very well I thought. A 60 HP should do even better. The boats seem really, really practical. The jet operators were often really inappropriate and reckless in the way they ran their boats. I hated that part of it.
