Champ188 Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I understand your concern and I, too, don't tell everything I know here on the forum, but I don't think you need to worry about anyone following you because your boat was partially pictured here. Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't think many Southern boys are gonna stoop to following someone else to their fishing hole. Not for walleye anyway. This isn't the North and we don't have walleye derbies down here.

Tanderson15 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 I used to fish them with my nephew. The year Teach and I were to team up they stopped. Like you Ron they were fun. And the guys were great.
Tanderson15 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 The first national walleye tournament was held in AR and since they have been in BS and Norfork. But no more to far to drive for those northerners.
Ron Burgundy Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Was your nephew the one that lost a 10 plus at the boat during one of the Bull tournaments?.... The one and only time I met Teach was prefishing at Peel , talked to him at marina as we were about to head out and he already had his limit at 8am!..... I introduced myself he saw the MSW sticker on boat anyways he said "I know how to catch walleye" not in a aggronant way just confindent way....he was undecided if he would fish the tournament but he ended up not fishing.....he was a nice guy. kjackson Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 The first national walleye tournament was held in AR and since they have been in BS and Norfork. But no more to far to drive for those northerners. The first PWT was on Norfork; I was there as a press observer and got to fish with some of the guys. Pretty much fell in love with Arkansas then. I don't remember all the details, but the fishing wasn't as good as In-Fish hoped it would be. It was a struggle for some of the good sticks, and the final bags were not impressive.
Tanderson15 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Yes he was Ron. He gave it slack, it was only his second time fishing walleyes. He told me recently he still dreams about it.
