I used to wear my jungle boots until they finally gave up the ghost. Now I use flats wading booties with a pair of socks. No more gravel ever. I actually have the ones from Academy that are linked to above. Perfectly happy with them.

I agree I have been using these this year http://www.simmsfishing.com/shop/footwear/flats-sneaker.html with some neoprene sock and not one rock ever.....it's not the cheapest option but, if you don't like gravel in your shoes and need a sole that provides enough support to wade three or four miles over bad terrain these are great

Get these.... I promise you won't be sorry.... I've had em for 3 years. They've held up really well and I honestly have not gotten 1 single rock in them. Lightweight and not terrible looking. It looks like they may not be made anymore though, so you may need to try and find a pair on ebay. I paid $90 brand new 3 years ago, so the prices now are cheap...

I just saw these and they look like they would work great on slippery rocks that we have here on Ozark streams:

Kind of pricey but they don't really look bad for a water shoe.
