It was a good weekend, in sports but any time LSU Looses is a dam fine day IMO.

It sparked my hope in Arkansas. We have three wins and I THINK we can beat LSU, Mizz , UAB, Ole Miss and Miss St and maybe just maybe Georgia for an 8 and 4 record. I wouldn't have said it a few weeks ago in fact I said if BB didn't get some wins he would be out but now I'm seeing what he is building and the team is buying in to it and getting confident and confidence catches fish and earns wins in football.

It wont be easy but I believe it is possible, Now if they beat TAMU this weekend then all bets are off as that could either lift them to cloud 9 and prove to them they can beat anyone and then they run wild on the West, OR it could be such a big high they come off it and loose everything else.

You guys and your pipe dreams of a replacement rivalry. :D Ain't gonna happen.

I was at the game in Lawrence Saturday. The only mention of any other games was when Indiana scored a TD. The crowd loved it.

Yeah, I heard that all 75 cheered at once.:)

My KU friends have been having a field day with the Indiana loss since Saturday. You guys got get rid of Charlie Weiss.

Ha! I'd estimate the stadium was 80-90 percent full, but it was "Family Day" so that's factoring in -- coulda been worse. I noticed fully half of the $$$ suites were empty.

It was hard to watch -- the score is deceiving. Lots of dumb football played. Yep -- Weiss is the problem. Mangino's just up the road at ISU....

I know it was a vanilla playbook and all, but I'm worried now about Mizzou. They should have been able to sustain more long drives on those guys, and the O line didn't look like they were blocking well on pass plays. Receivers didn't seem to be getting open and Mauk wasn't finding them when they were open. Secondary did get bullied a bit by the big SDS receivers. Toledo won't be easy and UCF is scary.

As I said back then, I was worried about the o-line, and nothing happened between then and now to change that. The o-line has looked mediocre at best ever since, against weaker competition. Mauk seldom has enough time to let routes develop and make all his reads, and even though he's a little quick to get out of the pocket sometimes, a lot of times there isn't much of a pocket. And the o-line isn't blocking anybody on most running plays. The run has mostly produced a lot of three yards or less plays, with the occasional big play. Boehm looked horrible against Indiana, nearly every snap was high and at least a dozen or more were so high that it totally disrupted the play. The secondary keeps playing ten yards off the line and still gets beat on downfield plays too often, the linebackers aren't tackling well, but the defensive line should still be a strength if Golden comes back healthy.

I haven't lost hope for the season, but there are going to have to be some big improvements made against SC.

Gosh Scott if my happiness resided in an Arkansas loss, I would have been very happy more Fall Saturdays than not the last several years, but that's not how I roll. I'm more than Happy for the piggies to get a win. I wish them all the luck in the world except when they play LSU.

Poor Arkansas fans an their obsession with LSU. I promise most LSU fans could not care any less about Arkansas. Maybe that's what bums them out.

My Tigers are very talented but RAW. They will likely lose at least three games this year and maybe 4, but they'll be better next year. It's tough in the SEC West, but I've known that for decades.

Its ok Ham I feel the same way when Bama looses as well. Amazing how LSU fans seem to say what you keep saying until they loose to Arkansas then its like the end of the world to them.

Not me Man . I don't cry when LSU loses (FIFY) to Arkansas or anybody. MIss State BEAT the fool out of LSU in Death Valley at night. A pretty rare occurance, but they did it with better coaching and better play. I have slowly come to the awareness that it's just a stinking football game that I myself have ZERO control over. I want LSU to play it's best game and if the other team has a better night so be it. Frustrating when it doesn't work out, but so what.

That be interesting to try and get him back. Not sure either party would go that route, but that be entertaining for sure.
