State of Mississippi is on cloud 9, I imagine.

Just took a peek at Auburn's schedule.

Next week @ Miss. St.

Open

@ Ol Miss

Texas A&M

Georgia

Then last regular season game is 11/29 @ Alabama.

If they make it through that meat grinder undefeated, they should be ranked #1 in my opinion.

And all of these statements will probably look dumb in a week when all the top teams lose again. It's that kind of season.

How true. I look for Notre Dame to make a jump along with Baylor, Ole Miss and Auburn likely to move to the 2-5 spots. With all the turmoil I'm not sure any team with a loss can move past an unbeaten because of the win qualities of the unbeatens.

Yep, a great weekend for the state of Mississippi. Wow I didn't even look at Auburn's schedule...that is super tough. If they win out #1 for sure.

Mizzou gets CBS this week against Georgia. That will be one of at least two games they come to this year (the other being Arkansas) after skipping us entirely last season. I believe at that time they said something about how Mizzou just doesn't draw enough viewers to warrant much in the way of coverage by them, despite being one of the two best teams in the conference (last year.) I guess they realized their mistake a year late?

Glad I plan to be at the game so I don't have to help their ratings.............Anyway, huge game. WInner has all kinds of margin for error in terms of winning the east. Which is important because with the schedules yet to come, both UGA and Mizzou are probably going to lose at least two more games.

I'd love to see Notre Dame play a full SEC West Schedule. It would END the foolishness that's gonna happen. The stage is being set for ND to get a Final Four invite. Good Grief.

Everybody's schedule in the SEC West is rough. LSU really needs to beat Florida and that IS NOT a given. LSU will lose more games this year. I'm hoping they can make it to 8-4 and who knows if that's even possible. The LSU defense is going to give up points so the offense better figure out a way to hang 30 or so on the board.

I'm not sure about the Miss state ranking. There is a difference of opinion and probably should be because TAMU was likely overrated, reference AR.

Notre Dame will stay up to give sports writers something to write about, like the upcoming FL ST game.

TCU was underrated and I had a feeling they would be tough. They were wiping out all the lowly teams and they have a good program, so it was hard to say where they should have been ranked.

Auburn has everything going for them except the wins. If they win out they will be undisputed #1 seed. I look for ND or FL ST to be #2 because they only have one more game in their schedule.

If Baylor, or TCU, survives the Big 12 undefeated they will likely get a seen in the 4, but it will be a long road to get there, as long as Auburns.

Ham the SEC West is like the Big 12. It's almost impossible to go undefeated because there isn't enough spread in between the teams. Fully 3/4 of the teams in either conference can beat anyone of the others, top to bottom.

I actually think that Alabama out played Old Miss for the most part except that last 10 minutes and is probably the better team. Bo Wallace looks great, but he is prone to mistakes at times too. Not sure about Miss St either and LSU might finish last in the West. I have a feeling in the end it will be the winner of Auburn/Alabama to Atlanta.

The first "Official Rankings" will not be until October 28th so right now NO ONE is Ranked officially, a lot could happen 3 weeks.

The committee has stated that

1 "strength of schedule will be one of the most pertinent considerations"

2 head-to-head results

3 team records

4 injuries and weather

5 conference championships

THERE WILL NO LONGER BE

1 Polls

2 Computer Rankings

I wouldn't expect to see FLAst in #1 if Auburn keeps winning and FLAst might be as low as #4

I am not sure how this committee thing is going to work out, but # 5 seems awfully low for conference championships.
