Luckily didnt see game. Maty Mauk is a sophomore with less than 10 games under his belt in arguably the toughest college football conference. They lost to a team that is correctly ranked higher than them and is more talented all around.

I think our expectations are a little too elevated for this team.

You guys are learning something most SEC fans already know. This is the toughest conference in football, Maty did not look great yesterday but he did look composed, Georgia came in with a major chip on their shoulders and wanted to prove they were a TEAM and one player never makes the TEAM. After watching them I don't think anyone could have beat them, that team was on a mission to make a statement and were going to do it at all cost.

Arkansas on the other hand I don't know what to say Bama did everything but score a TD for them. I cant ever remember seeing a Nick Saban lead team that looks so awful and make so many mistakes. That was Arkansas game to lose and they did. BA was horrible not much news there but why the hell did they keep passing Arkansas is built for the run and smash mouth football! Why get give up on your strength. Our D-line looked great which has always been our weakness, yet our offense looked horrible. When and if the two lines actually click in the same game we might win one but I do not think BA is a leader and he sure is not a smart QB.

Freaking Hawgs, yet another game that could have won. I was scratching my head also over the fact that they abandoned the run. They can't win on Allen's arm. He actually had a couple of series where he threw the ball well, but he's just not capable of doing that the entire game.

That Mizzou game was awful. Only bright spot I saw was that the MO D line played fairly well.

Big SEC news from my point of view was the Mississippi State win over Auburn.

Florida State against ND, that is a game I plan on watching next week.

Quill, I think Arkansas has two major issues. Brandon and Chaney, BA just is not a smart QB he makes way to many mistakes, he is good if he is handing off the ball but he makes horrible passing choices, it is better to throw it away than throw an INT. Chaney and his play calling sucks almost every game. Georgia I had hoped to be our first SEC win but im seriously doubting it now.

Eh, none of that matters if you don't have a QB. I don't care if we were in the Big 12 playing, say, Iowa State, we lose with yesterday's effort.

Look, Mauk played badly, but winning football starts in the trenches, and the o-line simply hasn't gotten it done all year. The running game is inconsistent at best because of the inability of the line to run block, so they have to pass more than they should, and then the o-line can't consistently protect the qb. Teams know that, and tee off on Mauk. Teams also know he's going to bail out as soon as the pocket starts collapsing, and they've taken away any inside running lanes for him, so he defaults to scrambling backwards and trying to make something happen. It also doesn't help that the receivers were far from elite even when all of them were healthy, and once again they were missing one of their three best receivers. The young guys simply can't consistently get open, and don't know how to bail Mauk out by trying to get open when he's scrambling.

Georgia had the ball well over 42 minutes! The defense played fairly well until they got gassed in the second half. And Georgia also had some breaks go their way. One fumble went directly into the hands of a Georgia player who was behind all the action picking his nose, and another fumble went directly to the feet of a Mizzou defender who kicked it right back into the hands of the guy who fumbled it. And it seemed like every pass that went through the hands of a Mizzou player went right to the Georgia defender.

Give Mizzou effectiveness on just one facet of the offense--eiher a qb that plays lights out, a DGB type receiver, or an effective o-line, and they score enough points to keep the defense off the field half the game and win. But unfortunately, they DON'T any effectiveness on any of those facets, and I'm afraid things aren't going to get any better, even if they decide to bench Mauk.

Na OTF it does matter a lot. Mizz has the ability to finish games but the team as a whole looked horrible Al beat me to the reply but he is right in everything he said. It is a team sport and the team has to step up. O D and ST! Mizz can do it they have proven it, fans are quick to blame from the peewee league all the way to pro's. If your QB sucks sure you got a reason to gripe but Maty has proven time and time he is a good QB.

How quickly fans forget he was the Hero last year against #7Georgia and then went on to lead Mizz to victories over #22 Florida and Tenn and Kentucky. You have lost to a tough Indiana school this year and Georgia who is tough any year but add a Gipper type attitude and probably unbeatable this last weekend.

Unlike Arkansas at least you have a good QB and a team that knows how to finish. I mean come on Ar held Bama to 227 total yards and only 66 were rushing we had three turnovers go our way all of which should have lead to at least a Field goal. Its getting hard to be an Arkansas Fan when you got a crybaby coach at his press conference and players on the field who give up and play calling that is done by spinning a basket and pulling out a card with it on it. Its sickening... To see our coach Crying at the Press conference was absolutely sickening. I was behind what he is building and taking the team but as a coach to see that WOW.

That's part of it, but he also can't stand back there all day long. He was horrible.

I don't see the number of Mizzou games you Mizzou fans watch, but I get the impression they are trying to make him a conventional pocket passer QB, and I think they'd be better off using him as a mobile, read option type QB.

I suspect ND is overrated. The press has always catered to the huge ND fan base that is spread across the country and they also love a game to write about. It's a game that will have to be watched that's for sure.

I'm a little skeptical about Ole Miss being where they are. It seems that AL and TAMU were both overated along with, I hate to say it, OU.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
