duckydoty Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 That's the only bad thing about hunting up here. All the birds are in their eclipse phase and usually the only way to tell the drakes are by the wing patch coloration. Two of the mallards were starting to get the breast colors and just a touch of the green on the heads but that is rare. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! BilletHead Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I could see couple starting to turn in the photo. Bad early here too last year for that. Seeing a few teal and some pintails here. Last year seen two pintail third week of September. Have eight now on a pond here close. Had frozen ponds here on thanksgiving hunt last year. Should I be worried it will be another cold one this season?
