J-Doc Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I bet that livewell is a lot less bouncy on the road than crashing over wakes. They did this at the Classic at Grand too. It's becoming more and more common. For that matter, last year's classic at Guntersville was quite the drive too from the launch to the convention center. Possibly a bit more than an hour drive? I can't recall for sure but the point is, that's 2yrs in a row where the main stage (stage being key term) was much further away to house the event. It's a once a year event and one of two the biggest bass events of the year. Forest L Wood Cup being the other big event. As long as "keep alive" type mixes are used, I bet they are fine. I've had live minnows last inside my bait bucket for 3 days and when they were released, they were still more than lively. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. fishinwrench Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Just for clarity, these bass will be trailered to Springfield in the livewells of the boats they were caught in. No specially equipped truck will take them there. The return trip however.....
J-Doc Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 They will be tortured for information about their alleged involvement with ISIS and then held without legal representation. On the way back..... Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. Members Chunk Rock Posted September 12, 2014 Members Posted September 12, 2014 i'll bet the weighed fish will be put in a holding tank, till they are healthy for the trip back. lets hope!
Sac River Jim Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 i followed an incident that happened on the arkansas river last july. fish were trailed to an event site and the next day 90+ fish washed up on the launch ramp they were released at. it was really bad pr for the organization involved and catch and release tourneys as a whole. I have reservations towards trailered events because of all the variables involved it just seems to me that its not a good idea and its risky enough this time of year even immediately releasing the fish.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 i was going to say that all the fish weighed in will be filleted, fried and served, but that would open up a whole other topic again
Champ188 Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 LOL, yup that might ignite a little bit of a s***storm.
