Travis Swift Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Came to the Rock for the first time ever. What a beautiful and awesome lake you have. We fished the Kimberling city area and caught fish from 6 inches to 56 feet. Cloud cover we had a great topwater bite and sunny we caught them deep on spoons. Several nice smallies on ned rigs as well. Even caught several fish flipping cedar trees. Here are a few of the fish we caught. Didn't get all of them on camera. Travis
Travis Swift Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 thank you Quillback. It was so much fun. I've been to Taneycomo a hundred times but had never fished the Rock. Now I might be hitting both in one trip cause Tablerock is awesome!
abkeenan Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Not bad considering Royals fan's never succeed in anything....lol. Just kidding, half of my friends are from KC and thus big Royals and Chiefs fans. Congrats on the success. Looks like you caught them in a multitude of ways which is impressive. For the first time at the "Rock" you guys really did well and that is something to hang your hat on...even if it is ugly. lol. Thanks for the report and the great pics.
Travis Swift Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 I was trying to represent my beloved Royals but they kept letting me down this weekend .....grrrrr
Champ188 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Beautiful fish. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Helps to fish from a Ranger with a Mercury.
Bill Babler Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 You Dudes would have won the CPA 3 day fish off with a one day catch. Nice. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
abkeenan Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I was trying to represent my beloved Royals but they kept letting me down this weekend .....grrrrr Aren't you used to that being a life long Royals fan? LOL. Sorry, I had to do it! But ya the Royals are falling on their faces which is a shame because even though I am still bitter about '85 I am pulling for you guys and your fan base to at least get a little taste of playoff baseball. You guys deserve as least a playoff birth after almost 30 years of misery. Catching fish like that though I'm sure soothes the pain over a losing weekend by the Royals. Again well done and always appreciate photo's to go along with report.
abkeenan Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Also the 5th pic down that big headed skinny largie looks to have a sore on its tail????? Surely that can't still be from fanning a bed from months ago?????
