Can you guys tell me how you are catching the catfish? They are my favorite thing to catch, and I like them better than crappie for eating. I have the tackle to handle the larger ones too.

Thanks.

John just drop a nightcrawler down on a bottom bouncer they will find you! You do not need to find them, though it would be nice if they were slightly larger most are 9 to 14 inches, they hit 18'' about a pound and half I WILL keep a few I love cat and they are simple to clean to me. I just fillet them like anything else.

fillet them and be done with them. Good eats. If you don't want slime in the boat, that is fishing and your issue. No mud on the shoe either I would guess? When did fishing become a sport with no dirt or grime? Ever been in a 14 ft rented john boat that leaks and hadn't been ever been washed? And then catch a five pounder on a tiny torpedo right at dark, and take it home and dad cleans it and mom fry's it up for dinner? And no, we didn't take out shoes off when we went inside.

Your right no mud on the shoe, wipe up the blood wash the net and wish all could be bare foot. My boat carpet after 14 years good as home. If you didn't read a previous post I clean my crawlers and place them in a use almond container with wet paper towels. Take care of your stuff and it lasts a long time. I know I'm anal.

I went out this afternoon for a few hours but couldn't find any eyes or crappie. Noticed bass chasing shad on top so that held my interest for half the time. All this size. Fished around Hickory Creek.
