Wayne SW/MO Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Ive got a couple of coons that you can have. That's alright. I had a whole litter of them this spring and I thought they would never scatter before they wrecked the place. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
stlfisher Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 With the wind and chilly temperatures It sure feels a bit like winter out today. Next week could be frigid for this time of year.
hoglaw Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Played golf at Aberdeen near STL when I was passing through the other day. Great course. The greens were covered with woolly worms that were mostly black with a little bit of red. Doesn't that mean something?

I think some say the color of them can be a predictor, but I am not sure what color means what. There is a potential record setting storm in the Bering Sea that should work it way into the US around Thanksgiving....potential for parts of the lower 48 to have some extreme weather as we close out the last third of November.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 The cold coming in will probably make duck hunting great for a time, but will probably drive a lot of them to the big lakes in this latitude. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Champ188 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I predict this winter will be cold and I will fish anyway.
stlfisher Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Anyone, see what is happening in parts of Buffalo and surrounding area the last couple days. Ridiculous amounts of snow with up to 6 feet in some places with the possibility of 2 more feet by Thursday night. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/weather/snow-emergency-six-dead-100-trapped-monster-winter-storm-n251436
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 When I was living in Oregon we accumilated 24" over a span of about 3 weeks and I thought that was too much. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Jerry Rapp Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 supposedly the last 9 days of global cooling was caused by one of the big hurricanes that hit Southeast Asia this fall. It stayed together and chugged around on the Jetstream into the Arctic where it came south pulling the polar vortex with it. Heck, I just thought it was an early cold snap. I have been proven wrong again. But I do remember some excellent Turkey Day snow storms.
