Johnsfolly Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Ham What is your species total? Catch any new ones in September? The two most unusual catches for me this year was the 8" goldfish I caught in Hickory Creek back in Sept. and two golden shiners (6 and 7 ") while fishing for crappie in March.
Ham Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Nope. I had some other species of sucker hooked, but it came off. I had a log pearch interested, but then it spooked. I had a Rainbow Darter hooked a month or so ago and I had some varity of shiner hooked that had a white vertical band on its tail centered between to black areas. I would have had to look him up. I actively fished for a Quillback the other day and I'm not sure BUT I think he flipped me off inbetween totally ignoring me. I spent a couple hours during a full time creek trip fishing for suckers and I was totally ignored. Zeroed on suckers. I did cauct 73 smallies and Ozark Bass though. Johnsfolly Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 I took my daughter down to Bennett's on Sunday and she caught a dozen banded sculpin using a microgloball with a split shot. She had already acheived her goal of catching four trout and was fascinated by the sculpin or "bottom dwellers" as she called them.
Fly_Guy Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Cottonwood, Elm, 2 different types of Birch, 3 species of oak, and 7 different species of weed, reeds and grasses. And a Homo sapien (me). Guess that puts me at 15, but that was just one short trip... (know this was for Ham, but couldn't resist)

Still don't know how.

Johnsfolly Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 Ham what was your 2014 species total?
Ham Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I only made it to 28. I posted a LENGTHY number of photos on another thread. So, I'll try to improve on that number in 2015. So far, stuck on one species for 2015 Largemouth Bass. LittleRedFisherman 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
