Um, I don't think it was given to the Cardinals by any means....Kershaw is L.A.'s best pitcher bar none ane the stupid biotch they brought in after him was blown up up on the first pitch he threw. Holiday crushed the shiot out of that ball....pretty much what I would expect form a K.C. fan. You guys don't get to see much quality baseball until recently and rarely ever get to see post season. I'll give K.C. props though you have great team speed and good defense but, watching Hosmer flip the bat like it was a rec league softball game may have woke up the giant.....Angels will be pissed for sure.....you're much better off looking like you have done that before rather than fliping the bat like wannabe C league softball player.

Exactly the type of response I expect from a cardinals fan. Just because your fan base believes that your team is gods gift to the sport of baseball doesnt mean everyone else has to.

And dont act all high and mighty about sportsmanship when no one in the league likes to play your team because they are known for starting bs like the other night hitting Puig. Wainright knows where his pitches are going.

Your comment alone demonstrates the reason that everyone regardless of who they root for hate cardinals fans.

Back to the game. Just because kershaw is the best pitcher on that team doesnt mean he can't get in trouble and get pulled. When there were guys on first and second he dung have been pulled and the relief pitcher shouldn't have stepped into a bases loaded, no outs situation. Mattingly got a big head about his pitcher and left him in when he shouldn't have. He gets pulled earlier and they hold the cardinals off.

hahahahahaha.....hey no biggie I know it seems like other teams fans bitch about playing the Cardinals and you seem to have an issue with "Cardinal fans" who gives a shiot??? I do know my friends in N.Y. and Boston love K.C. because they can always fly there on a moments whim and never have trouble getting killer seats.....you guys never show for that team. Yeah your games are sold out now but, it's the playoffs. You guys have horrible attendance at best for a very exciting team but, don't worry you're in a dung division, you guys should be able to not go another 29 years after this year trying to make the playoffs. Saying that everyone regardless of who the root for hate Cardinal fans is awesome.....sounds like you need to go do some fitness or lance somebody.

As for throwing inside that is and has been part of the game since the begining......a cut fast ball is hard to control. If a ball is coming inside get out of the way or take your bruise and base.

Flipping your bat after you hit a homerun or making gay gestures is bush league.

Flipping a bat is bush league. But it happens in baseball all the time any more. Are you ok when a football player does a dance?

Want to know what really is bush league?

This:

Or fast forward this video to the 4 min. Mark. He did it again. That is Bushleauge.

Especially your announcers saying that's a good clean baseball play. BS. By the way.. Have you listened to a game broadcast by Mike Shannon? Nothing is EVER the fault of the cardinals. He constantly calls out the umpires whether it is about the strike zone, or about a close play. Instead of saying a member from another team made a good play I have heard him call it lucky time and time again. It's not like I have listened to quite a few also. My step dad is a cardinals fan, I have a lot of friends who are cardinals fans. It wasn't a one time deal.

I don't love the cardinals as an organization, but they are well run for the most part and have been able to sustain success. No one can argue that. What people don't like, and the reason so many people root against the cardinals.. The fans. You all say you don't mind if everyone hates you.. It's because so many are just a bunch of pompous assholes.

Take your mayor for instance...http://online.wsj.com/articles/st-louis-to-america-dont-be-jealous-1412273454

You probably agree with everything he writes. So many cardinals fans act like your the most humble fan base in the world yet all you ever do is brag about cardinal "Nation". Or everyone is just jealous and that's why they don't like us.

The reason so many people don't like the cardinals is they have been forced down the throat of every baseball fan as being this perfect franchise by the MLB and the media. Yes they have the success, but you cannot argue with them getting some calls going their way. Sure it didn't totally change the game but let's look back at this gem.

"Best Fans in Baseball" is what so many call themselves. They talk about not putting down other teams fans, respecting the game, etc. check out this awesome twitter account that keeps track of those so called best fans in baseball. https://twitter.com/BestFansStLouis

Smalliebigs, I don't know you, I'm sure you're a great guy. This will be my last post in this thread, it was supposed to be about the game. I expressed my opinion and you had to get all bent out of shape about not liking the way Mattingly handled the situation and how it cost the Dodgers the game.

Being primarily a Red Sox fan (I also can pull for Royals and Cards especially with the Sox out of the playoffs this year), I appreciated the effort and competitiveness he showed this year. I was down on the guy at first as the Sox as signed him to a big contract and he either did not pitch well or was hurt. But this year he put it together. He's not a dominant pitcher, but a good #3 that will work hard and give his team a chance to win.

Kershaw 1-5 in postseason going tonight on 3 days rest. Hoping for an honest to pete ROUT by the Redbirds. And to see Puig continue to struggle mightily and in vain. And to hear more whining from Matt Kemp blaming the umpire for well, basically everything.

Good game. Hope the Cards can pull it out tonight. Lackey pitched great and Kolten Wong redeemed himself from last year.

Congrats to the Royals too! It was awesome to see them dominate the Angels.
