You just stated exactly why the MDC needs to do some stocking in our area lakes, and Table Rock to be exact. How many more dollars to the economy would be generated if we had bass populations as we have had in the past?? I would guess they only way to move the MDC off their hands is to get enough public pressure to force them to do something. Just matching what they do in stocking trout would be a great step in the right direction.

Consider one thought ... Most professional guides has televised segments of some sort ..... Out fitters and guides all across the world not only Harvest ,but also prepare harvested meals for there clients . They are even known to pack the bounty for the trip home ?

In short I suppose if I had a guide refuse me to keep my catch. He would be in the water and would have come to the ramp to get his boat

I see nothing wrong with a guide not keeping fish if it is known before ask about this and if you don't like his rules get someone else. I hired a guide on BS about a year ago when I got there all he did was troll which I don't like to do, my fault I didn't ask. I haven't kept a bass in years. That being said if you follow the law it is your right to keep them. IMO for what it is worth the limits on most species are very generous keep what you use and return the rest.

It's the guide's boat and therefore the guide's rules. But with any reputable guide, there's not going to be an issue because he'll make sure all that is understood before the trip is even booked.

You want to keep bass, find a meat hog. There's a couple still working Table Rock. Fortunately, they are a dying breed and aren't very good, so they don't do a lot of harm.

Any decent guide I've ever known will tell you that if you aren't going to respect his wishes, he doesn't need you as a client.

Well after reading this for the last several days I thought I would just see if I could find out what happen to the fish (It took me approx. 10 minutes to find out )

All the fish were return to Table Rock that very same day , They hired a company that takes care of fish and transport fish on a regular basic and they know what they are doing. Now that being said I know certain individuals won't believe me for whatever reason. But if I can make a few phone calls and find out this information why couldn't or better yet didn't anybody else do this. I personally believe that certain people would rather stir the pot than find out the truth. I'm more disappointed than satisfied because it seem people would rather complain than find out the truth. Now I won't discuss it anymore because people will believe what they want to believe. I for one believe the fish are safe back in Table rock for all of us to enjoy it as simple as that.

According to REDSOXWSCHAMPS, who works at Bass Pro Shops, the fish went into 30-day quarantine at BPS in Springfield. He reported that here on this forum. So who's to be believed? Him or your unidentified source? Just sayin, we seem to have conflicting reports.

Point Made....

Point Proven

So predictable and so irrelevant.

So your version of the truth is that we were lead into a controversy, asked questions of a few who pretended to be "in the know", became confused and concerned when the questions were ignored....

And now WE (the ones who expressed concern) are at fault for it ???

That is some fuktup logic.

Just interjecting a little humor here since I don't have a dogfish or catfish in this fight :)

How many board members does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer: 422.

1 to change the light bulb and post it to the board that the bulb has been changed.

4 to respond and share similar experiences.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

27 to point out spelling errors and grammatical errors in postings about changing light bulbs.

53 to flame the spell-checkers.

156 to write to the administrator to complain about the light bulb discussion and its inappropriateness to the board.

111 to defend the relevance of the light bulb discussion.

27 to post website addresses where one can see different examples of light bulbs.

14 to complain that the website addresses are incorrect and post correct ones.

12 to "leave the board forever" because they can't handle the light bulb controversy. (LOL)....

+16 members who complain that the bulb wattage is too low, and the 11 who think it is too high. (Add to total number)
