Good lookin' paint job, 24/7. Is that a flat-sided topwater?

I use and highly recommend Dwain Batey with Baitwerks as well. I just sent him 30 baits last week as he was running a special in September (30 baits for $200)... You can't beat $6.66 per bait!!!!! He may have a new special running now, but call him and see if he can work out some sort of deal. He does amazing work and paints for several Elite Series pros. He estimated his turnaround time to be about 5 weeks right now, but if you don't need them until next spring that's not bad.

I've heard a lot of good things about Tim Hughes as well, I've just never used him.

Trey Harpel of TH Kustoms does a good job and hes located here in Missouri

Also, Pizz Customs out of California does good work

To each his own, but I just don't see the advantage to using guys from California and Wisconsin when we have Tim right here on our forum giving firsthand advice. Heck, I plan to keep what little money I spend on custom-painted baits here with the local guys, especially one who comes onto the forum and freely gives advice without self-promoting, etc.

I know for a fact that Tim does work for some of the Elite Series pros, including Mike McClelland. In fact, he was heavily involved in helping Mike develop colors for the Spro McStick series and may also be involved with Mike's new Rock Crawler crank bait that's due to be released in the near future. Rob McGilvry at Fall Creek Lures does work for Greg Bohannan and others, and I've had great results with some of his custom paints on my own lures.

Just saying, you don't have to send money off to faraway places to get great work. And what's more, these guys are in tune with what works here locally.

Spro indeed, QB. It's of Wiggle Wart vintage but is said to run deeper ... maybe 14 feet. I've seen pics of some prototype colors ... pretty awesome-tastic.

Tim Hughes does great work and certainly knows the colors that work on Table Rock. I had Tim as a guide a number of years ago on Table Rock and he put us on the fish. Dale Sellers does a good job as well but has retired from lure painting.

Rock Crawler....sounds like something that will work around here. Spro?

Wow those are good looking. Love the Spro eyes on their hard baits.
