fishinwrench Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 That place is a hog trough. Kudos to the anglers, but the hatchery personnel should be congratulated also. Very pretty fish !
tippet7 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 What's the mega worm? You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
timsfly Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 The mega worm is tied on the jig head Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
timsfly Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Not sure about furled, but yes a type of yarn Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Gavin Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Bernat baby blanket yarn & a dab of tear mender on the lose end. It's not furled.
fishinwrench Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Gotcha. I fish a similar pattern for Whites and smallies but I twist it and let it furl together for a thicker body. It fishes like a mini senko but casts like a wet dishrag. Fun fly to fish. I wish they made the stuff in Olive. It doesn't take dye very well.

Not as moppy but still very soft when you furl it. I'll send you a wad of it this week.
Gavin Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Shannon steamer uses the same material. I call it the tampon fly. It works. 3 bucks for 75 yards. Ham 1
