fishinwrench Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Yep, you're figuring them out sho-nuff. I went out about 1:45 and was still fishless at 3:45 Then all hell broke loose at 4:00 sharp Ended with 5 like this and 6 that were 12-13". Quit after a break off when I decided it was too dark to tie another fly on. I bet they are still out there biting under that big moon.
96 CHAMP Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Way to go looking good, how long do you reckon these whites will be active. I would like to come back possibly depending on how much time I use deer hunting
fishinwrench Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 This pattern usually holds until Turkey day at least. Water temps of 45° on the flats, or a lake level below 657.5 seems to mark the end of it. But as long as the lake stays near 658 they'll still come in on those flat bank areas on warm days even later than that. But the crappie bite will be so good then that you prolly won't even care
MOsmallies Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Absolutely awesome info Wrench and 96 Champ! Glad you guys are hammering them
fishinwrench Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I think we inadvertently hijacked this thread though. How did we end up discussing LO whites in a TR greenbass thread? Good place to hide it I reckon.
merc1997 Bo Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 the thread is multiple patterns, right?? catching whites is another option!! bo
96 CHAMP Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 My original plan was to go to table rock for 4-5 days and see if the pattern that is used at loz would come into play as well as fish for ole bucket mouth, due to circumstances out of my control that did not happen this year, there is always another time, I would imagine Cindy Lou is the one that would know about the whites at table rock I have run into them several times in early summer chasing shad up near Campbell point near that big bend in the channel, I have a good idea where to start, hit those windy points up in the river arms also
