5bites Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Bo and Rps you are dq'd. And yes I should have my butt kicked for leaving the boat home. I don't doubt today will be the best November day this year.
5bites Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Also one of my boys found this. I know what it looks like but I'm not gonna say it. Any ideas?
fishingaddiction Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I don't have a clue on your location pic. The fish almost looks like a goby, but the fins don't look right and to my knowledge there aren't any goby's in the Rock. Maybe a trout? Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
merc1997 Bo Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 i will just say that the guy that owns that dock and lives right up the hill has been a friend for many years. and, back in the day when the eagle rock area had plenty of big bass, i have caught several big ones out past the dock on the creek channel ledge. there used to be a big wad of cedar trees out there. there is not much left out there but a few sticks anymore though. bo
fishinwrench Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Is that a baby walleye or a snakehead ?
5bites Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Bo I've considered asking him if I could tie my boat up there when we were down but didn't want to bother him. He has a nice piece of land. Very nice, with decent pasture etc.
5bites Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Is that a baby walleye or a snakehead ? Well since you said the w word I was wondering that too. Would they be that size this time of year even if it was one?
rps Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 The fish is a walleye, I think. Looks a little worse for wear. If I am correct about your location, the semi-bluff end point on the same side of the cove you are standing on has given up both bass and walleye over five pounds for me. Oddly both came on a crawdad wiggle wart, but in different Springs.
fishinwrench Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I think it's a snakehead. Might be a grinnel. Or a Dogfish shark. Better alert the authorities.
Duck Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 One of the many Sawmill Hollows on TR, this one down from Stubblefield.
