I did purchase a few, a couple different kinds, Cumberland, and arkie. One is deer hair and the other is rabbit I think, in black and crawfish. I'm with ya Ham, gonna try those to... I've got a plethora of zig jigs now that work, looks like your white one with the red tie is a zig?, but wanting to try some hair jigs this year. These here are Deer and rabbit hair supposedly. Gonna play with some trailers to, I had good luck last year trailing a stike king jig with a jennybugs twin tail grub. The spots seemed to like that one. Would love to tie some up like those Mitch makes, those looked awesome! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Buck tail and synthetics when water temps are below about 43 or so. Agreed! Noticed ya'll jigs seemed lighter and more minnow pattern? Do you swim those slowly? These I ordered are more for dragging on the bottom.. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

I catch some just after it hits bottom on the initial cast, but most of the time it is the fall rate that is the trigger. I use 1/16, 1/8, 1/4,and 3/8 oz and most are sparsely tied. I also use a fly rod with smaller jigs tied float and fly style for fishing under an indicator. Hope for a trip that coincides with warm rain or sunny afternoons/warming trends. 10 4 on the float and fly, or jig and float. I love to fish for smallies on a flyrod with that, works great out of a boat. There's days that out does everything for me! Oh my there's the jerkbaits now...lol Let me get mine.... There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
