hoglaw Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Would have loved to see Sabans season ruined and mizzou win the sec. Tough loss.
ozark trout fisher Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Oh well. It's bama, and they're clearly a lot better than Missouri. I thought it might be closer.....but in the end this was the expected result. I'm not even upset. The Tide are just so much better than Missouri, and it showed. On to bowl season.
Alex Heitman Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 They are a better team for sure but Ray being out hurt us. Also no like it would have mattered anyway but the refs hurt us as well.
Quillback Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Well I was hoping for an upset, but the Tide was on their game.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Maybe now we can finally get the Oregon v Bama match-up. I have been wanting to see that game for a long time. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
moguy1973 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Kind of the way I thought it would go. The SEC West is so much stronger than the East. Missouri wouldn't have been in the top 3 in the West and would have barely qualified for a bowl game. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Al Agnew Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Mizzou had a better chance of winning last year than this year. They lost against Auburn last year due more to coaching failures than personnel. Auburn wasn't that much more talented. This year, Bama was better in every offensive category and their defensive line simply manhandled the Mizzou offensive line. Only thing they couldn't do was completely cover long downfield pass plays. If Mizzou had last year's offense to go with this year's defense, they would have had a chance. With an offense that was barely mediocre, they had no chance. Still, if some breaks had gone their way, they might have put a real scare in Bama. If they'd blocked the muffed snap on that punt, if they'd recovered any of Bama's fumbles or prevailed on the non-existent review of the one fumble they did recover, the complexion of the game could have changed. If Ray hadn't been kicked out AND they'd gotten a couple of those breaks, it might have made a big difference. They overachieved most of the year, and if they'd overachieved in this game and gotten those breaks they could have won. Instead, they underachieved and didn't get the breaks.
stlfisher Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I agree with all the sentiments. Bama was just a much better team. Shane Ray simply can't put himself in that position...that was the beginning of the end. Hope our young receivers step up cause next year has me a bit worried on the offensive side.
