jbooth24 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Hey guys I lave my posted on here I'm a while I have been too busy worh hunting and work. But I got a quick question I am trying to stil up on some fishing lures for next year. Does anyone have any advice on any good smallmouth lures.
drew03cmc Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I like to throw anything from 3/16oz to 5/8oz. My preferences are shallow running crankbaits, mid depth cranks, spinnerbaits and jigs. I'm going to spend time next year focusing on topwater fishing as well. Andy
Gavin Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Walk the dog plugs & buzz baits in the Summer. Jerk baits & hair jigs this time of year. Ned rigs anytime.plus dozens of others. What do you have so we can fill out your kit?
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Don't forget Senko type baits, and the old standby 3 inch curly tail grubs! Lvn2Fish 1 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Chief Grey Bear Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Make it easy on yourself and your wallet. A smallmouth will hit the same baits that you toss to LM. countryred Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It really really depends on location. In murkier areas , use pretty much what you would fish for largemouths. Clear water areas dictate topwater, jerkbaits, or natural colored plastics. A small jig and craw combo is probably my favorite.
Seth Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Trick worms, eakins jigs, tube and a jerkbait will let me catch fish all year long. I think the type of water you fish has more to do with which species you will catch. Slacker water produces more largemouth and areas with current hold more smallies. Kentuckies seem to be everywhere.
Terrierman Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Don't tell anybody I told you but the Ned will kill them. grizwilson 1
