bs1827 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I find it interesting that while I don't catch a lot of bluegill on Bull, I catch some monster gills. Toads. I'm all about some big, bull blue gill! Hardly a better way to spend a summers day. Ham 1
Ham Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I'm all about some big, bull blue gill! Hardly a better way to spend a summers day. Well actually, I kinda like floating creeks and catching 100 fish mostly smallmouth better, but to each his own. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
powerdive Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I'm all about some big, bull blue gill! Hardly a better way to spend a summers day. They are the best tasting fish in fresh water, in my opinion. Just not as glamorous as the "gamefish" species.
bs1827 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Well actually, I kinda like floating creeks and catching 100 fish mostly smallmouth better, but to each his own. Okay Ham, you got me. I would much rather spend my time catching smallmouth, but big bluegill on a fly rod are a close second.
Ham Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Oh don't get me wrong, I love panfish on a flyrod too. I just love to fish in general. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
oneshot Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 If you've got the time, it sure would be interesting to hear what your recommended redear tactics are, been thinking about pursuing them on Table Rock. I always just used Worm on Small hook. Carolina Rig. oneshot
BrianS Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Those things take the fun out of fishing Carolina rigs. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until they show up in Table Rock. You can say that again. Last Spring while using carolina rigs I broke off ALOT due to zebras HOOK 'EM HORNS
