96 CHAMP Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 what do you guys think about this one??? http://spro.com/
motoman Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I thought I read mclelland was involved in the design of these rock crawlers to directly compete with the wart; but dive deeper? - But somebody with more knowledge can certainly correct me on that. Champ188 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Look a little bigger than a wart. Did not stop me from ordering a few. Kind of think the Koppers HFC is closer to the wart, but the spro could be better. Little deeper runner would not be terrible. Colors are pretty good. Assume they are up to usual spro level of quality.
Quillback Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I am visualizing an order arriving at my door...
Champ188 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 You mean these? My pre-release order of 4 arrived yesterday at Hook, Line & Sinker in Bentonville. In fact, fishing tackle manager Justin McClelland (Mike's son) was able to secure 700 of them, of which only about 40 remained when I left there at closing time last night.
Quillback Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Something tells me the fish around here are going to see a lot of that bait.

That is the color I liked as well. Very similar to a color I paint. May add a clear coat with some red flake.
Members Curtis5 Posted January 8, 2015 Members Posted January 8, 2015 Mine came in from HSL yesterday too. I was even more impressed after seeing them in person. I was also told you can throw them on heavier line and still get to the 12' range with the bait.
