trythisonemv Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Hey guys I am planning to take some time and canoe for walleye in about three weeks. I was wondering what would work best in a small river ad far as artificial lures are concerned?
fishinwrench Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 The most consistent river walleye angler I know throws 1/16 - 1/8oz Roadrunners exclusively during the late Winter/early Spring. Either chart/white or pink/white.
trythisonemv Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 I appreciate it! I'm going to grab some of these this weekend in Springfield. I caught a few last year one went probably 24" but he turned the hook on my rooster tail. Hope he is still there. Took an hour to wade to where I found him.
Quillback Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Ned rig will catch a walleye every now and then. Ham 1
rps Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 1/8 or 1/16 jig head with a 3 to 4 inch boot tail grub in white, salt and pepper, or white/chartreuse. 3 to 5 inch suspending jerk bait. Light colored marabou jig tipped with a crappie minnow.
