That contraption looks dangerous. I slipped off the tongue of my trailer last year while holding the bow of my boat, and got a nasty bruise because my shoes were wet. Getting caught between those steps while falling could result in big trouble. If I get where I cannot get into the boat safely I will sell it and just dock or bank fish. A safe way to launch and board is to go where there is a courtesy dock, back the boat in, use a rope to control it to the dock and board from there after you put on the life vest. If you cannot launch it without backing off under power, your boat is too big for you.

The remote TM setup on the boat I just sold allowed me to just splash the boat, go park the truck, and bring the boat to me at the dock using the remote. Pretty Sweet!

I only forgot to plug the TM in before launching ONCE. :)

Luckily the breeze was in my favor and eventually blew the boat up on the bank.

Thanks for the info guys. Fishwrench, I have a few Med problems, just looking for a step up. Have seen the ezstep and boat-board. Thinking about going to a welding shop my self, give them some blueprints of what I need. Thanks Good fishing

I understand, and I hope you didn't take what I said in a smart Aleck way.

But I get in and out of boats all the time and it's real easy to slip and get hurt even when you're nimble and being careful. Having a rail to hold onto isn't gonna save you unless you are psycally capable of doing a one armed pullup.

Statistically most boating related injuries happen when boarding and unboarding.

Ditto on that, real easy to get hurt getting on/off the boat. It's a time to be extra careful.

Did a face plant on a rocky bank on Grand lake, had a tin boat then, parked it bow first on the bank by the ramp, exited by walking over the bow, went to step on the bank, one foot got hung up on the edge of the boat and went face down hard onto the rocks. Fortunately no permanent damage except for bruises.

I dunno guys, that looks like a good way to bust your @$$ and break a leg to me. Are you incapable of swinging a leg over the bow and putting a knee on the front deck ? Maybe throw a boat cushion up there to kneel on until you can get ahold of the pedestal seat and stand up ?

I don't wanna sound like a dick but maybe some specific physical therapy to build muscle and joint strength or flexibility would be a better alternative for those who are having trouble entering and exiting boats.

Too late...LOL!

I agree. I think a little frost could create a bit of a trap for a guy who might already struggle because of physical ailments. The courtesy dock / rope idea works really well.

I hate when I have days like that...
