Follow up to my report, which was thrown together rather quickly:

First of all, I was using Dave's Magic Ned Heads(thanks, partner!), and I didn't lose one all day!

bent weed guard a few times, but that's an easy fix.

Tried both the 1/16 and the 1/8, but only caught em on the 1/8. I did throw it more because of the wind, but I think I just had a better 'feel' with it?

All my bites were on mixed rock banks in creeks or pockets, and I only knowingly missed one fish.

Seems like the second drag & shake was the ticket, which would put the fish at around 10-12 or so?

Funny thing is that when I threw to the bank and worked it back, they didn't want it?

So, I changed it up and cast to what I thought was about 6' and they hit it soon after that.

Oh, and I was using a 6' 6" St Croix rod with a Daiwa reel and 6 lb Maxima in a Stratos boat with a Garmin up front, a Lowrance on the console, motorguide TM, 200 HP Johnson with an OA sticker, wearing Wrangler jeans, Hanes underwear, Columbia fishing shirt, UnderArmour Hot Gear short sleeve, hooded BPS jacket, Redhead wool socks and a pair of Thinsulate no-name boots I got for $11 on clearance at Wal-Mart 8 years ago! And, of course, some Diet Mountain Dew and 2 Snickers in the cooler!

I would recommend that you replicate the above as close as possible to make the Ned rig work! :secret-laugh:

Otherwise, the stupid bait is just plain worthless!

thanks for report for all of you new tracker boat owners ( ranger stratos triton etc) I understand from my sources that JOHN L will be sending a replacement sticker package for your boats that will cover the old logo and place them in the tracker blood line I also understand they will be free of charge and he will be looking forward to before and after pictures please don't be worried if you don't receive them right away the initial roll out will be small but be assured you will get them and I am sure they will look real nice :evilish:

that was a very good day of catching. also shows that a lot of times a different area of the lake has a bite going on, while it is hard to come by a bite of any kind in another area. great pics too.
