Why would a person want to eat bass over suckers? Glad he was caught.

I ask myself that everytime I hear of this type of crap. You can catch bass all year long so I look forward to gigging season so I can get the suckers. Fried sucker is better than all but a few fish. Some people just have to be dirtbags and break the rules.

What a shame. Those looked to be some nice smallmouth as well. Reminds of a time when I was on the current River serveral years ago trout fishing below baptist and seen a guy with a stringer full of big smallmouth he caught up one of the creeks. Can't believe people take them out to eat since I hear they have worms sometimes and taste bad.

Where'd you find this article siusaluki? I'd imagine someone called this guy in as opposed to the agent just so happening to be there. We need more people to speak up and turn these poachers in to the MDC Agents!

Good work from the MDC, but like others I wish they could catch more of these POS.

Hopefully they throw the book at them and make it a big deterrent, and then post the results of the prosecution to deter others.
