Mark Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 And people actually pay that? Wouldn't you love to get a bunch of good ol' boys to go sit at the entrance of that business and laugh at the idiot that would actually pay to do that as he drove by.
fishinwrench Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 They can offer it all day long, but that doesn't mean anyone is gonna pay it. Just cuz I list my house for 2 million doesn't mean I'll ever get an offer anywhere close to that. Anyone who pays more for a deer than they paid for their rifle is a buffoon.
Flysmallie Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I have a good friend down in Texas that works on one of these "ranches". He "guides" the hunter and then processes the deer. I haven't asked him in a couple of years but I know one year he was at a little over a hundred deer that he had guided on. One of his clients is Rick Perry. Just because none of us are willing to pay that much for a deer doesn't mean that there are others that won't. I could never spend $60k on a bass boat or whatever they pay for those big annoying boats but I still see them everywhere so somebody doesn't mind doing it. Justin Spencer 1 Â Â
SpoonDog Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I dunno what to tell ya- not only do these places exist, that's what they're charging for a canned hunt. Theres lots of folks out there with more money than brains, and all the photos on these deer ranch websites indicates to me someone's willing to pay handsomely for the "experience." You can believe what you wanna believe, it doesn't change the facts. Just makes me wonder who's really embracing a conspiracy theory.
fishinwrench Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Yeah well, a bass boat lasts awhile and retains some resale value.
Flysmallie Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Yeah well, a bass boat lasts awhile and retains some resale value. Nobody said they were smart for doing it. Â Â
