mhall02 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 28" rainbow trout in my avatar, would guess 8 - 10 lbs. Summer of '90 when I was at C of O at the Rebar hole caught on 6' Eagle Claw ultra light rod, 4 lb test line, Shimano spinning reel on a 1/64 oz black Bass Snapper crappie jig. Fought hard, got her in, Dad happened to have the camera, snapped a pic and let her go. Yeah, didn't have waders back then so wet wading in Taney, ankles go numb pretty quick! http://s37.photobucket.com/user/mhall02/media/trout.jpg.html?o=0 Caught a grass carp close to 3' long, 15+ lbs would guess and a channel cat about the same. No pics. Buzz 1

Terrierman Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Cant find a picture of the one from the Missouri River. This one was only 26. And I completely forgot about spoonbill. Don't have any pictures of those. Had some good days on the Spring River in the Twin Bridges area though. Good times!
Al Agnew Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I suppose this is my biggest fish...caught out of my pond on a 4 wt. fly rod while fishing for bluegill during a cicada hatch. Have no idea how much it weighed, but it was 44 inches long. bs1827 1
Smalls21 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Ill have to take a picture of the picture. I was probably 14. Down off the coast of Tampa i snagged on the bottom. Except it was a nurse shark. She was about 9 feet long tip to tail and 150 pounds or so and pulled straight down the entire time. we were in somewhere from 180-220 feet. when the guide cut the line at the hook the 8 ounce egg sinker shot straight up and back down on top of his head. any chance you were fishing on the Miss Cortez? I witnessed a similar event with a nurse shark
David Unnerstall Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 This has to be my biggest fish. It was caught on Basswood Lake in the boundary waters. We got there by sled dogs and that is a very amazing experience by itself. bs1827 and Terrierman 2
Lancer09 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 any chance you were fishing on the Miss Cortez? I witnessed a similar event with a nurse shark Couldn't tell you. It's been probably ten years. It was everything the two of us could do to pull her straight up from that depth. For reference, that egg singer was a half pound. Buzz 1
